New Baccara or Baccara ?

I have a pirated album from
a group called New Baccara, the singers were Maytee Matee
(perhaps American misspelling of Maytee Mateos?) and Gina
T.. The prodecers on some of their songs ("Touch Me",
"Call Me Up") was Luis Rodriguez, on others ("Fantasy
Boy") was Frantz, on another ("Tokyo By Night") was A.
Schairer. The hits came in the late 80's and were very
uptempo (around 130 bpm for that time) and dark sound.
There was a song called "I Do, I Do" by Maytee Matee and
later on Gina T. had solo career. Many people confuse
older Baccara with this "New Baccara". Are they the same
singer (Maytee Matee = Maytee Mateos, Gina T. = ??)),
and was there ever a "New Baccara" that sang the songs
I mentioned that you know, or did this group steal the
name? Is my confusion common?
I even have heard of a recent compilation out that mixes
some of the old songs ("Yes Sir, I Can Boogie") with the
"New" songs ("Fantasy Boy", "Call Me Up") and calls the
group Baccara! I think many people have this confusion
and do not know the correct truth? Who can help me?

Baccara on tours in Sweden,
Finland, Latvia and Estonia

The first tour
was in 1995 late September - the
middle of October. Baccara did 15 gig's in Sweden and
Finland. The show (approx. 50 min long singbackshow) includes
all the hit's.
Mayte Mateos is still with the duo. Jane Comerford, from
Australia, has replaced Maria Mendiola.
Jane works at the School of Music in Hamburg teaching
music and performance for young musicians. She is a very
good pianoplayer. She is married and she lives in Hamburg
since 10 years. She also works as an actor and as a singer
in difficult musicals. She has been leading rolls in Cats,
etc.
Tore Syvertsen is still the manager of the group.
27/12 1996 - 1/1 1997 Baccara toured Sweden, Latvia and
Estonia. It was a very successful tour.
Mayte does some teaching in Spanish-dance when she's not
touring with Baccara.
